Savage, extreme, rude, cruel, not to trust.-Shakespeare's Sonnet 129
Enjoyed no sooner but despised straight,
Past reason hunted, and no sooner had,
Past reason hated as a swallowed bait
On purpose laid to make the taker mad:
Mad in pursuit, and in possession so,
Had, having and in quest to have, extreme,
A bliss in proof and proved, a very woe,
Before, a joy proposed, behind, a dream.

happiness.
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
When I went to school, they asked me what i wanted to be when i grew up.
I wrote down "happy".
They told me I didn't understand the assignment and i told them they didn't understand life.

The Art of Living
According to the Zen school of Buddhism, the Art of Living depends on:
less anxiety over attaining goals, less concern about death, and an appreciation for the preciousness of everyday life.In other words, there is beauty in simplicity.
Kindness
According to the Buddhist notion of kindness, karuna is somewhat different from the Western notion of kindness, in which one separate human being, out of an abundance of individual generosity, gives to another separate human being. Rather, karuna implies that we all are part of the same ever-changing universe. Deep down, the individual is not really different from anyone or anything else.
To be kind to others is actually to be kind to oneself.
Karuna in action simply means living out this awareness of the unity of the universe. With this perception of the interrelatedness of all beings, compassion comes naturally.
If I am kind, my kindness must be shown towards anything that can feel pain.

Acceptance
According to the Dhammapada:
The essence of the Third Noble Truth is this:
Look within. Be still. Free from fear and attachment, know the sweet joy of the way.Indeed, acceptance is a step to inner peace.
The essence of the Third Noble Truth is this:
I cannot change the outside world, but I can change myself and the way I experience the world.Be the change you want to see.
Suffering
According to the immortal Buddha:
To live means inescapably to experience sorrow and dissatisfaction. No one can escape suffering, but each person can decide how to respond to it.Man, he knew what he was talking about!
Change from the perspective of the wise
According to the Buddha:
The wise person expects change, accepts it, and even savors it. The wise person might also reflect that just as pleasures do not last forever, neither do sorrows.Werd.
Truth...
According to the Buddha,
You must be your own lamps, be your own refuges. Take refuge in nothing outside yourselves. Hold firm to the truth as a lamp and a refuge, and do not look for refuge to anything besides yourselves."Trust your own insights, and use self-control to reach perfection and inner peace.
A short Buddhist Devotional
We Are What We Think
We are what we think,
all that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts we make the world.
Speak or act with an impure mind
And trouble will follow you
As the wheel follows the ox that draws the cart.
We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts we make the world.
Speak or act with a pure mind
and happiness will follow you
As your shadow, unshakable.
"Look how he abused me and beat me,
How he threw me down and robbed me."
Live with such thoughts and you live in hate.
"Look how he abused me and beat me,
How he threw me down and robbed me."
Abandon such thoughts and you live in love.
In this world
Hate never yet dispelled hate.
Only love dispels hate.
This is the law,
Ancient and inexhaustible.
